The Arison Group views itself as a leading and highly influential organization in all of its interactions with stakeholders that have business ties to the organization or are influenced by its activities – shareholders, partners, workers, volunteers, suppliers, distributors, and clients as well as the community and environment within which the organization operates. One of the most significant tools illustrating our readiness and commitment to realize the values of sustainability and social responsibility is the Arison Group Code of Ethics. This code comprises a set of clear operational guidelines that specify work procedures and methods, characterize processes and define norms of conduct.
The ethical code is directed at supporting the implementation of the Group’s vision and goals by defining the values and operational guidelines that ought to guide the Group’s managers, employees and volunteers in all of their activities, both within the Group and outside it. The first part of this code of ethics specifies the Group’s five core values: responsibility, leadership, alignment, creativity and being it. The second part of the code specifies the Group’s operational guidelines that stem from these core values and demonstrates their implementation in the everyday activities of its people.
The code of ethics is, in essence, a set of "do" or "don't" rules the spirit of the values of social responsibility that guide the Group’s numerous activities. Different facets of the operational guidelines illustrated in the code of ethics are expressed and demonstrated through contributions to the community, and the safeguarding of human and civil rights at all times and places.
One of the practical aspects of the ethical code is an adherence to a system of "social reporting." Each member of the Arison Group reports, with complete transparency, on the extent to which it adheres to the guidelines specified in the code of ethics and meets the high standards of social responsibility defined by the Group. This report specifies each member’s current outlook, any gaps in implementation and the challenges they pose, practical methods to close these gaps and clear future goals. This system of social reporting necessitates constant self-examination within the Group’s subsidiaries and monitors the treatment of various concerns, as well as any improvements and progress that are made.
We believe that the totality of these actions improves and promotes, directly and indirectly, locally and internationally, the securing of human existence for our own welfare and that of future generations.
