We are listening to the needs of the community and committed to giving with attentiveness to these needs.
We, at the Ted Arison Family Foundation, regard the ability to give as a major privilege and responsibility. The foundation’s worldview is rooted in three Jewish values: charity, acts of loving kindness and TIKKUN OLAM (transformation of the world). We take responsibility by acting as a role model, by creating a better human environment based on fundamental human values, by investing in improving the quality of life, and by developing public infrastructures and programs based on the commitment to excellence. We cultivate generosity, tolerance and involvement; from our aspiration to generate meaningful change, we promote transformation of the social environment.
Established in 1981 in Miami by the late Ted Arison, the Ted Arison Family Foundation launched its activities in Israel in 1993, under the management of Shari Arison.
The foundation is privately run and does not raise funds from external sources. Each year it contributes to various projects and to hundreds of nonprofits and other organizations that operate in seven key spheres: health; education; children and youth; culture, art and sports; populations in distress; disabilities and research.
The foundation has adopted Ruach Tova (Good Spirit, in Hebrew), Israel’s leading provider of access to information about volunteerism, which operates today as part of the Arison Group. Ruach Tova serves as the address for any person or organization that wants to volunteer, connecting them with a place to volunteer.
The foundation’s first vision venture in Israel was the establishment of Matan – Investing in the Community, an organization that encourages businesses and workers to give to the community.
Jason Arison, the foundation's Chairman and CEO, currently serves on Matan's board of directors.
In addition to monetary donations, the Ted Arison Family Foundation is involved in two vision ventures that promote social transformation: Essence of Life, which heightens awareness and gives tools for inner peace; and All One, an organization whose purpose is to generate a global conversation of a new reality whose message can be summed up as ”We are all connected. We are all part of one.
